Mindful Monday ~ 5 Affirmations to Start Your Week

By. Danielle Husband

In our social media age, you can’t escape affirmations. Friends will post them on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, and many of us follow at least one page that features inspirational quotes and images. While they might be everywhere, affirmations only work if you take the time to use them.

Using affirmations can have a big impact on your life. They can help you feel better about yourself, help you stay more focused, and even help you combat stress. Though they aren’t a magic solution to all of your problems, affirmations can help you live a better life if you make them a regular part of your day.

There are many ways that you could include affirmations in your day, such as posting them around your home, reciting them in the morning, reading them during the spare moments of your day, or reviewing them before bed. Take a look at your own life and find a time that works for you.

You don’t need to do anything special to get started. At first, just focus on reading the statement, setting it as your intention, and affirming that you believe the statement. Overtime, you can try different strategies for deepening your connection with the affirmations you choose for yourself.

This week, why not start out your Monday with a few simple affirmations for starting your week off right? You deserve to have a great week, so use these five affirmations to get a positive start:

This week I will take time to do more of what makes me happy.

When I face obstacles, I will remember that they are only temporary.

Each day, I am thankful for the blessings in my life.

I will not let my bad moments overshadow my good ones.

Today I will live in the moment, free of regrets and worries.
